These Terms of Service govern your use of the AstraRad website and describe the general framework under which AstraRad provides teleradiology interpretation services. This page covers website use, acceptable conduct, intellectual property, and general legal terms. The specific commercial terms of clinical service, including SLA tiers, per-report pricing, and Business Associate Agreements, are set out in the master service agreement (MSA) each client signs before sending studies.
If anything on this page conflicts with an executed MSA or BAA, the MSA or BAA controls for the services it covers.
What these terms cover, and what the MSA covers
AstraRad operates a website that describes its services and a clinical platform through which contracted clients transmit imaging studies and receive signed reports. These website terms apply to everyone who visits or uses the site. The MSA applies only to contracted clients and governs the actual delivery of interpretations.

Nothing on this website constitutes an offer of clinical services to any specific patient, and no physician-patient relationship is created by browsing this site or submitting a form.
Eligibility and accounts
The AstraRad website and platform are intended for use by healthcare organizations and their authorized personnel: imaging centers, radiology groups, hospitals, and similar entities in the United States. The platform is not intended for patients seeking interpretations of their own imaging.
If your organization has a portal account, you agree to:
- Keep credentials confidential and not share individual logins between staff members.
- Ensure that only authorized personnel transmit studies or retrieve reports.
- Notify AstraRad promptly through your account contact or the contact page if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Provide accurate organizational and clinical information when submitting studies, since interpretation quality depends on accurate clinical history.
AstraRad may suspend access to protect the platform, its clients, or patient data, and will notify the affected client when it does.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the website or platform to:
- Transmit protected health information outside a channel covered by an executed BAA. The portal and DICOM connections established under an MSA are covered; the public contact form is not, and should never contain patient identifiers.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform, or attempt to bypass authentication or access controls.
- Scrape, harvest, or republish site content at scale, or use automated tools to degrade site availability.
- Misrepresent your identity, organization, or authority to act on behalf of a client.
- Upload malicious code or content that infringes the rights of others.
Violations may result in suspension or termination of access and, where PHI or platform security is involved, notification of the affected client and any legally required parties.
Clinical services and professional responsibility
Interpretations delivered through the AstraRad platform are rendered by board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists licensed in the state where your patients are located. AstraRad's quality program, including independent double-reads on 1 in 20 reports, is described on the compliance page.
Teleradiology interpretation is one input into patient care. The ordering clinician and the client organization remain responsible for clinical decisions, for acting on communicated findings, and for the accuracy and completeness of the clinical information provided with each study. AstraRad's radiologists interpret the studies and clinical context they receive.
Intellectual property
The AstraRad name, logo, website content, platform software, and report formats are the property of AstraRad or its licensors. You may view and print site content for internal business evaluation, but may not reproduce, modify, or distribute it commercially without written permission.
Signed reports delivered to a client belong to that client's medical record for the relevant patient encounter, subject to the terms of the MSA. Imaging studies transmitted to AstraRad remain the property of the client or the originating institution; AstraRad's retention and handling of that data are governed by the BAA and described in the privacy policy.
Feedback you voluntarily submit about the website or platform may be used by AstraRad to improve its services without obligation to you.
Disclaimers
The website and its content are provided on an as-is basis. AstraRad works to keep site content accurate and current, but does not warrant that the website is error-free or uninterrupted, and site content is general information, not legal, clinical, or billing advice for any specific situation. Statistics published on this site, such as SLA compliance and quality metrics, reflect measured performance over the stated periods and are not a guarantee of future results for any individual study.
Warranties applicable to contracted clinical services, if any, are stated exclusively in the MSA. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AstraRad disclaims all implied warranties with respect to the website, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AstraRad's total liability arising from use of this website will not exceed one hundred US dollars, and AstraRad will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from website use.
This limitation applies to the website only. Liability allocation for clinical services, including professional liability coverage and indemnification, is negotiated and stated in each client's MSA. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify AstraRad against third-party claims arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of the website, or content you submit through the site, except to the extent caused by AstraRad's own conduct. Indemnification obligations for contracted services are governed by the MSA.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these website terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to that venue. Disputes under an MSA follow the dispute resolution terms of that agreement.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. AstraRad's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Changes to these terms
AstraRad may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes that affect active clients are communicated directly to account contacts. Continued use of the website after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
